Date: 2005-04-28 09:57 am (UTC)OS X is really a derivative of BSD Unix, which is also stable on par with Linux. My iMac has been up for 26 days. I think it was last reboot for a kernel update. Windows requires you to reboot when you upgrade a DLL, which makes DLLs not very dynamic doens't it.
The load average of my AMD64 machine at work is like 0.05-0.10 most of the time, and it runs X, database and webserver.
