my good deed for the day
Sep. 6th, 2011 08:02 amSaturday we went to visit a friend's 3 month old son. I am reminded of one summer when I flew out to visit my dad in Australia a month after my brother had been born. Tristy is 18 and going to be graduating from high school now. Theresa warned me once something along the lines of, just wait until he is old enough to drink. Thanks to Australia's more liberal liquor laws that is now.
Sunday we were visiting with Lena's grandma, and she was complaining that it was hard to read books for very long because it causes her head aches. We went to Radio Shack for some cables (so she could listen with her earphones), got some CD-Rs from WalMart and Lena found some Russian audio books on the interwebs. Whole thing cost less than $25. Monday we returned, set things up, and played the first disc of one of the books for Lena's grandma, and she was enthralled. It was thrilling to set something so simple up, but have it appreicated so much.
