After some research, zombies CAN climb (ladders too, probably) but lack the strength and coordination to do so. However, they have a lot of gases inside their decaying bodies, so they can actually float. So say you have a ladder, the zombie can float right up. This of course makes them much more dangerous...unless they run out of gas. It's bound to happen.
