Not really a silly question. I have a program that stitches photographs together. All you do is give it a bunch of photographs with some degree of overlap (usually overlapping by 1/2 a frame is safest) either vertically or horizontally, or both. I can't remember where I found it, but it was free software, so if you look around you might find it.
