I deleted about 600 lines of code today. For those of
you who aren't software engineers, it is much more difficult to remove
code than it is to write it, so this is huge progress. The application
is looking more and more like Graham code every day, and less and less
like somebody-who-knows-perl-well-enough-to-be-dangerous code. I am
able to do something at Company 2 that I was never able to do when I
owned the end point report at IBM: namely re-write my project so that
the code doesn't suck (anymore).
