I got a lot done at work today.
I made three distinct changes to EinsTimer, and did a lot of work to get the authentication system on my intranet
website working with intranet passwords. That required writing in Perl and SQL, which I enjoy.
Something occurred to me though: I find working with new infrastructure much more interesting than making trivial
changes to the report code, just as I thought it was fun writing the tools which allowed us to make Parallel
Abstraction work, where as accumulating wire delay is mundane.
If I am to stay in EDA, I need to move to projects that I find interesting: perl and foundation classes, rather than
stuff that I don't: adding options to commands and tweaking the Abstractor.
