when voting

I took my time in becoming an American citizen, because I didn't want to lose my Australian citizenship. So my first presidential election was 2004. Then I moved to Australia for four years, and I voted in one federal and one state election.
Pleased to see so many 'I voted' stickers on our local staff at the embassy. #democracy #election2016 pic.twitter.com/d0ab77gug3

When I voted in the federal election, my rep was the guy who is now the US Ambasador not so far from us! Small world.
I moved back to the states in time to vote in 2012, 2014 and again today. Lena and I walked to our polling place. It is at a local elementary school. I am always thrilled when I can walk to my voting place. There was a short line. While we were waiting in line we had for entertainment a toddler running between his parents and grandma at different places in the line. Election workers were friendly and professional. Voters were patient and solemn.
Please, if you are eligible and haven't already, find the time to vote.
