Lena went to the Giant yesterday to get stuff. The hurricane just grazed us as far as I can tell. The worst wind was after we went to sleep. It banged hard when it guested against the bedroom window, which is on the north east side and offers less protection. Needless to say I didn't sleep well. In the morning I saw that there were some dry spots outside, so we went for a walk. Power is out in the super market and adjacent stores near our flat, but we still have power. There were some tree branches knocked down. Sporadic emergency vehicles passing through, but no indication as to why or how close the emergencies are. Photographed one fire truck as it passed us. Lena pointed out that the cool air and remaining wind makes it feel like an ocean town. No flooding in our area, thankfully. Still concerned about friends and family in New York and New Jersey. I think they will be okay.
