I hope somebody lends me a dime
During the last LiveJournal upgrade, they must have updated something which broke my LJ client. Which is what I use to synchronize my blogity blog with my LiveJournal. The client is hand coded by yours truly, and not maintained really, except for random hacks when things break, so don't do that. Where was I? Oh yeah, I figured out by turning off deflate in the HTTP transaction everything started working again. Although obviously the messages are going to be larger now. So that isn't good. The LiveJournal documentation for writing clients is really terrible, from an age when the website was owned by a different sort of company that cared about interoperability. Now there are lots of broken links and no explanation when things change. It is pretty obvious that they hope you don't even notice that you CAN use those interfaces.
A pity.
